The Plymouth (Britain's Ocean City) Half-Marathon has been postponed to October due to COVID-19 Restrictions. As part of the Two Point Six Challenge (which started on the day the 2020 London Marathon was supposed to happen) I've run 2.6 half marathons in 2.6 weeks (completed a week before the date of the Plymouth Half-Marathon). You can view my training log here. 2.6 Half-Marathons looks like 2 x 13.1 miles runs and a 7.86 mile run. 2.6 weeks looks like 18.2 days. Look for the dark green blobs.
A Massive 'Thank You' to everyone who sponsored me to run the Tavy 7 (mile) in October 2019. Togehter we raised £500 and I'd love to double as I run the 2020 half-marathon.
I am fighting to improve the quality of life for people with myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) a debilitating, multi-system disease that affects approximately 250,000 men, women and children of all ethnicities, ages, and genders in the UK.
My wife Tanya is one of the #MillionsMissing from ME. We are fighting for increased government funding for research, clinical trials, medical education and public awareness.
Tanya was diagnosed with ME in 2006. I want her to have access to equitable treatment and care, and hope for a cure. That is why #MillionsMissing means so much to me.
Please consider donating today to my fundraiser. Any amount will help us on our path to improving lives. Together, we can make a difference.
Donations will go to support the work of #MEAction UK, a grassroots organisation advocating for people with ME.
About the Campaign
#MillionsMissing is a global campaign for health equality for people with myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), organised by #MEAction. We protest around the world for increased government funding for research, clinical trials, medical education and public awareness. You can find more information about the campaign at millionsmissing.org.
In the UK, the #MillionsMissing campaign will focus on demanding increased funding for biomedical research into the diagnosis and treatment of ME.
Myalgic encephalomyelitis is a chronic, debilitating, multi-system disease that affects approximately 250,000 men, women and children of all ethnicities, ages, and genders in the UK. ME leaves 75% of those affected unable to work and 25% homebound are bedridden.
Donations will go to support the work of #MEAction UK, a grassroots organisation advocating for people with ME.
